I find my mind now drifting into a distant land
Where I will walk beside you always hand in hand,
All else seems so futile now when it's you I do admire
My love for you is growing and continues to aspire.
I don't know how this happened I was long ago set free
A single man on his own but now wanting you and me,
My thoughts of you are real and what I truly do desire
What did you do to light this flame now a blazing fire?
It is only you within my mind every day and more
I feel like a castaway on some distant shore,
Alone in thoughts of holding you every day and night
Knowing I'll soon be with you is surely my delight!
Without you here and in my arms how will I survive,
How can I fall asleep at night when you make me so alive,
Did you cast a spell I did not see into my lonely heart
I want you now forever more and never to depart.
Oh the pain of suffering I dare not think these simple thoughts alone
To live without you near me is like the ocean without its foam,
Somehow you found my inner soul not easy to break though
I feel that you were made for me and make me love anew.
